The National Governance & Business Leadership Awards is a high-impact economic empowerment and leadership awards event aimed at encouraging good governance, economic empowerment, and the creation of jobs in Ghana. This edition, which took place on August 5, 2022, recognised and honoured companies, organisations, and individuals who excelled in various sectors across the country. The awards event, which was organised by RAD Communications Limited, under the theme “‘Leadership in unusual times; innovation and strategy for development” is to celebrate Ghana’s most influential business leadership personalities across industries, with a focus on showcasing the most enterprising, innovative and successful business leaders across industries in the country. The CEO, Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi picked up awards in the following categories: 1. Outstanding CEO of the year – Public Sector 2. Top 100 most Influential Leadership Personality of the Year. In addition, the Authority received an award for Outstanding Public Sector Enterprise of the Year. The Board Chairman, Hon. Ameyaw Cheremeh, together with Dr. Rebecca Arhin and Mr. Saeed Salifu (Board members) accompanied the CEO to pick up the awards on behalf of the Authority. The Director (Finance), Deputy Director (HR) and the Manger (Corporate Affairs) were also in attendance.
Dredge Masters, others sweep prestigious awards at NGBLA 2023
Subsidiaries and executives of the Jospong Group of Companies in a remarkable celebration of exceptional leadership and entrepreneurship have been honoured with distinguished titles winning about 12 awards at the just-ended 3rd edition of the National Governance and Business Leadership Awards (NGBLA 2023). Led by Dredge Masters Ltd. who won two awards on the night, the other subsidiaries won an award each. The Managing Director of Dredge Masters Ltd, Captain Ansar Ahmed Khan, received the prestigious Dredging Industry Leadership Award, while the deputy CEO Samuel Borquaye, received the enviable Top 10 Transformational Deputy CEO Leadership Award. Cassandra Twum-Ampofo named Communications Personality of the Year at the 2020 National Communications Awards
Head of the PR Unit at the Ghana Education Service (GES) Cassandra Twum-Ampofo has won the enviable Communications Personality of the Year at the just-ended National Communications Awards. The prestigious event organized by RAD Communications and partners took place at the Africa Trade House in Accra on Saturday 14th November 2020. Cassandra Twum-Ampofo beat stiff competition from cohorts including Dr. Ike Tandoh, Public Relations Specialist and Efo Kwame Dzakpasu Head, Marketing and Corporate Comms, UBA. This win comes as no surprise as Cassandra has won the heart and admiration of the public in her line of duty as the Head of the PR unit at the Ghana Education Service. Since her appointment in 2018, she has professionally communicated and engaged the public on the government’s education initiatives and policies. Cassandra holds a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Cape Coast, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Studies (with specialisation in Public Relations) from the Christian Service University College, a Diploma in Journalism from the Institute of Business Management and Journalism in Kumasi. She also obtained her Post Sec Teachers Certificate from Holy Child College, Takoradi and joined the Ghana Education Service in 2004. She is also an Accredited Member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana. She’s currently a student of the International Professional Managers Association where she looks forward to completing the full course in 2021. Cassandra was also recently named among top 10 PR Women in Ghana in the 2019 Global Women in PR Annual Index. In 2018, the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) commended the Ghana Education Service (GES) for the effective approach it adopted in communicating with parents and the general public on the new double-track policy and issues relating to the 2018 computerised school selection and placement system (CSSPS). In a statement issued and signed by its Chairman, Mr Bright Appiah, it stated that the coalition has followed with admiration the effective communication skills employed by the Public Relations Unit of GES to explain the new system to the understanding of all, irrespective of one’s level of education. All this bears repeating that Ms Cassandra Twum Ampofo deserves to be crowned the Communications Personality of the Year. Deputy NLA boss wins top transformational leadership award
The Governance and Business Boardroom has awarded the Deputy Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Ms Anna Horma Miezah, the Top Transformational Deputy MD Leadership Award at the 3rd National Governance and Business Leadership Awards 2023. Ms Miezah is one of the 10 Top Transformational Deputy MDs Across Industries in Ghana selected for this Award. A citation presented to her at the event reads, “Anna Horma Miezah, Deputy Director-General,” National Lottery Authority, is presented with the Top Transformational Deputy MD Leadership By the Governance and Business Boardroom, under the Auspices of Rad Communications, in Recognition of Your Remarkable Merits and Achievements as a Deputy Managing Director.
